Build a strong foundation for the Free-Response section by studying rhetorical techniques, tackling the Synthesis essay, and crafting compelling, evidence-based arguments on diverse topics.

Course structure

Section I: Multiple-Choice Mastery

• Timed Assessment & Error Analysis: Execution of practice examinations featuring comprehensive review of incorrect responses and continuous refinement of reading comprehension strategies.

Section II: Free-Response Essay Composition

• Synthesis Essay: Evaluation of diverse provided sources and construction of a thesis-driven argument integrating and properly citing a minimum of three texts.
• Rhetorical Analysis Essay: Critical examination of nonfiction texts, focusing on the evaluation of authorial choices and rhetorical strategies used to construct meaning and achieve specific purposes.
• Argument Essay: Development of a coherent, evidence-based argument responding to a given prompt through a logical line of reasoning and robust commentary.
